Esquif Mallard Canoe
The Esquif Mallard is a compact and versatile square-stern canoe designed specifically for hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation. At just 12′4″ long, it is compact enough to fit in the bed of a truck while still providing enough space for two sportsmen and their gear.
Built for Hunting & Fishing
The Mallard is designed to help anglers and hunters travel farther beyond the launch and reach secluded fishing and hunting locations that larger boats may not be able to access.
Its square stern allows the canoe to be powered by a small motor, while its traditional canoe design means it can also be paddled when you want a quieter and more hands-on experience on the water.
Motor or Paddle
The Mallard offers excellent versatility with support for either a small gas motor or an electric motor. The maximum outboard rating is 3 HP, or an equivalent electric motor.
When motor power isn’t needed, the Mallard can be paddled like a traditional double-ended canoe, making it useful for both powered access and quiet exploration.
Compact but Spacious
Despite its compact 12′4″ length, the Mallard has a generous 39.75″ beam and a 500 lb carrying capacity. This provides enough room for two sportsmen along with the equipment needed for fishing or hunting trips.
Its compact dimensions also make transportation straightforward. At 59 lb, the Mallard can be easily transported on a vehicle or carried to the water.
Durable T-Formex Construction
The Mallard is constructed from T-Formex, a high-performance laminated material consisting of an ABS foam core, ABS sheets and a protective outer plastic skin.
T-Formex provides excellent resistance to abrasion and heavy impacts, making it well suited to recreational, fishing and hunting use. Its structural memory also allows the hull to recover its shape after impacts with minimal distortion.
